ABOUT KAIUT YOGA Kaiut Yoga is all about biomechanical health (or said another way, your freedom of movement). It has been designed to work through chronic pain & injuries, general aches & stiffness, and work for the inflexible, hyper flexible and the aging body. Unlike most yoga that stretches muscles in extraordinary ways, Kaiut Yoga works from the joints. As such, it has a dramatic impact in countering the harmful effects of modern living – where most of us sit most of the day  - as well as the harmful impact to our bodies of consistent movement patterns such as frequent running or cycling, playing a certain sport for years, or our compensating behaviours for old sports or other injuries. Kaiut Yoga is about maintaining or returning the body to optimal structure and functionality. It’s about freedom of movement, physical system and energy flow. It’s about keeping us as healthy, mobile and pain free as possible for as long as possible. With more freedom of body comes freedom of mind. It’s about a better quality of life. Francisco and Heidi will be speaking about the benefits of a Kaiut Yoga practice at the Global Movement and Cognition Conference at Oxford University in July 2017. ABOUT FRANCISCO

Francisco Kaiut is the creator of the Kaiut Yoga Method. He was inspired to create this new emerging yoga method driven by the need to manage his own pain from a shooting accident when he was 5 years old. Francisco is a certified chiropractor and yoga master and has studied cranial sacral therapy, massage therapy as well as polarity in the UK. Over time, he has integrated the principles of all these health and wellness disciplines together to create a comprehensive yoga method designed to help people manage chronic pain from injuries as well as maintain maximum body functioning in order to age well. Kaiut Yoga is about quality of life.

Francisco is based in Curitiba Brazil where he opened the first Kaiut Yoga School back in 2002. Today, there are Kaiut Yoga Studios in several cities around Brazil and one in Ecuador, as well as Kaiut teachers in the USA, France and Canada.

ABOUT HEIDI Heidi started practicing yoga in 2007 after the birth of her second son. She was drawn to it for its unique mix of physical, mental and spiritual impact. It also helped her feel closer to the Eastern World where she has spent much time traveling. While getting much from her yoga practice over the years, she has yearned for a teacher - not just yoga classes that fit into her busy life balancing a corporate job and motherhood but a yoga teacher. She has found that in Francisco. Heidi was first introduced to him and his work in February 2015 in Colorado. Since then she has returned to Colorado and been to Brazil to study Kaiut Yoga every chance she gets, and is partnering with Francisco to bring Kaiut Yoga to Canada. She is now a certified Kaiut Yoga instructor and has been teaching Kaiut yoga since July 2016.. Her personal experiences with Kaiut yoga are the basis for the Kaiut Yoga blog 'Up Close & Personal'. Heidi lives in Toronto, Canada with her husband, two sons and her daughter (the family dog).
